3 tips to mastering the art of balance in your life

Do you ever feel like everything that's going on in your life just starts to get a bit too much to deal with? And it's getting on top of you? Well, I know this feeling all too well. For so long I've tried to keep a balance between all that goes on in my life, at times I used to think this would be impossible to master but with time, I must say I'm almost there. I just wanted to share some tips with you on how I've stared to master the art of balance.

1. Prioritize

I'm doing this one first as it's actually the most important tip. You have to acknowledge what it is that should be a priority in your life, if you're in university then this should be number 1, this really should come above everything else as you want to get the best results from working hard and putting in that extra effort. Everyone has different things going on in their lives so it all depends what you would view as the main priority, once you get this out of the way.. then you're almost there.

2. Take care of yourself

What I mean by this is look after your health, so be active, eat the right foods.. drink your water folks! Maintaining your health will make all the difference when balancing everything in your life, you need to be in the right frame of mind and for me personally, looking after my health has helped a lot. I'm still going to the gym, I drink plenty of water and I eat relatively well. I've definitely noticed the difference in doing these things so I'd encourage you all to simple take care of yourself.

3. Positive thinking!

This kind of ties in with taking care of yourself, I've found that taking care of yourself plays a big part in staying positive. I won't lie though, I've found staying positive on a daily basis very.. very difficult and when I start feeling negative it really starts to effect everything around me. I can't get anything done and that's when everything starts to fall off balance. It's not easy to keep a positive mindset but it makes all the difference when keeping a balance in your life.

I hope this has been of some help to anyone struggling to keep that balance in your life. I've realized that it's a process that takes time, you just have to put these things all into action and you'll get there. Maintaining it will also be a challenge but it can be done.
