I remember being 15 years old and saying I can't wait to be 21, it
seems like that was years ago but with the way time is going so fast these
days, it literally feels like it was just yesterday. I turned 21 on Halloween
and I'd be lying if I said I felt totally different, I guess it's like any
other birthday.. the age doesn't hit you straight away. I always said for my
21st I'll either go to Las Vegas or throw a huge Halloween party.. so which one
did I do this year? Neither haha, which I'm quite disappointed in but I still
enjoyed the day. I actually had to split up my birthday activities throughout
the month of November which is okay because at least I celebrated with those
close to me.
Before I turned 21 I thought long and hard about what was going to
change in my life and I came up with a lot. Growing up I've always been such an
introvert, I still am now but not as much. Over the past couple of years I've
seen a lot of changes within myself, from confidence to just how I am as a
person. I can't wait to share with you my post on confidence.. It's gonna be a
long one but definitely worth the read. Anyway back to turning 21, one thing I
wanted to bring more into my life was positivity and motivation. I think these
are 2 of the most hardest things we can grasp as humans, for some it's easier
than others. I speak for myself in saying being positive and motivated has been
a struggle for sure! But positive for what you may ask? Motivated for what?
Well anything! It can be from the smallest thing to getting up for
school/university/work to achieving your life goals.
I myself would like to bring more positive vibes into my life and
not look at such negative outcomes in any situations. I'd also like to be more
motivated to achieve whatever it is I want to do in my life, for example this
year I told myself I'd visit more places and do more activities but I didn't do
enough of that, I'm aiming to do this more during my year of being 21 and on
wards.
I feel so blessed to have reached 21 and I thank god for
protecting me and guiding me down the right path, I've had my downfalls here
and there but I managed to overcome them. I'm excited to see what this next
year has in store for me as a 21 year old WOMAN.. yup, that's right I'm
definitely becoming a woman now and it's so empowering!
