This month I've been loving quite a few things that I'd like to
share with you. From beauty, fashion, music and books! Let me get straight into
it..
Beauty
- Coconut oil - now this has been a god sent! I've always heard great things about the wonders of coconut oil but never bothered to really try it out for myself, man did I wish I made the effort sooner lol. I've been using this on my feet mainly because I've been suffering from cracked heels.. too much information? I'm just being honest haha. Anyway, my mum has always had this sitting on her dressing table so I decided to start using it and this has really worked for me. I've also started using this on my hair and on my cuticles. Everyone should use coconut oil in one way or the other, whether it's in your food, on your skin its just good for you! It's also a natural product therefore full of lots of benefits. You can get this for £2.25 in Tesco.
- Zara perfume - so apart from the YSL Black
Opium, I've literally drained this Zara perfume I had, the bottle is
actually empty in that photo lol. I got this before Black Opium but a
small bottle, the name of it is Oriental and it's everything an everyday
fragrance should smell like. It's perfect, I can't explain the scent in
the best way but what I'll say is it really gives you this sophisticated
feel after you put it on, it's not overpowering either but people
will definitely get a good whiff as you walk by.. in the best
possible haha. This is £12.99 from Zara. If you find yourself in
Zara soon, try out their perfumes because they have such a good selection.
Fashion
- Turtle necks - I'm sure you all know my love for turtle necks by now, my collection has definitely been increasing. I love everything about them, from the different styles, the fit and the simplicity.
- Scarves - I found a real love for scarves.. big ones specifically, they can really dress up a simple outfit and they're a lot warmer! I got this scarf from New Look for £11.99 (discount with a NUS card if you're a student!)
Book
This book.. I can't even begin to explain how great this book is. My dad recommended this to me last year, it's a personal development book full of motivation, inspiration and eye opening things. It talks about how the simple daily choices you make, can lead you to success and happiness. I'm still in the process of reading it but I'm currently half way through, everything I've read so far I've been applying to my life and I'm already starting to see a change in the way I think and my outlook on things. Jeff Olson, the author also shares his story and how he applied the slight edge. I can't express how much I need people to get this book, I say need because the concept that is spread out in this book is something we all need to grasp. A lot of us think that in order to change our lives for the better, become happy and successful involves some sort of miracle when it's not that at all.. it literally starts with the daily choices you make. What you do today can determine how your life will be in the future but let me stop there as I don't want to give away too much! On my morning commute to university I read this book and even before bed, I'm telling you if you're looking for something to get you started on changing your life then please get this book. I haven't even finished it yet but the impact it's had on me already is amazing.
I got this on Amazon for £11.89
