Steam and Rye

Yesterday I went out in London for my friend's 21st birthday, we went out for a meal and then out to a club after. The place we went to is something I just had to share on my blog, it's called Steam and Rye and it's 1920s themed.. cool right? I've always wanted to go to some sort of event thats 1920s related, I just love how glamorous that era was so I was really excited to go. 

As we went in, we were greeted by the waitress who took us to our table which was nicely tucked away in a room, the main room looked hectic so I was kinda glad we would be having our meal somewhere else. May I just say the waitresses looked gorgeous, you can tell they really stick to the theme, I wish I got a photo of one of them but they basically were wearing one of those sequenced 1920s dresses and the matching head band.. I was in love with the entire look. Before we got into our room, I really felt the 1920s vibe, again I wish I took photos of the main room but do google Steam and Rye and you'll see what I'm talking about.

The room we were in had clocks everywhere which I thought was so different. There was another table in there that were also having their own celebration and we, of course had our own table. I just didn't like how cold it got in this room, we literally all had goosebumps and sometimes the music was way too loud for us to even talk to each other properly. 

This is the cocktail I had called Central Park. Another thing I really liked about their cocktail menu was that all the drinks were named after US Presidents and sightings in New York, once again this was very unique and the design of the drinks were amazing. One drink that one of the girls got came in a popcorn bag.. A POPCORN BAG I SAY! It was made out of plastic of course but the drink had popcorn on top of it as well, we were all so amazed lol. 

My appetiser were these BBQ ribs.. one of the best ribs I've ever had, these were just so good. 

  
For my main meal I had hanger steak with fries which was also lovely, the steak was perfectly cooked and it wasn't too filling, it was the perfect portion. Overall the meal was great as you may have already guessed, in terms of price I would say it's not extremely expensive but it is pricey and some things were a bit over priced in my opinion. I highly recommend this place though, you get to dress up and try great food.. who wouldn't want to do that? lol.

So here I am with the birthday girl! We've been friends for about 7 years now, from crazy obsessed Chris Brown fans back then to still slightly obsessed fans with a bit more chill lol.
