I'll be honest as I can be.. this year was not a good year for so many reasons. There are only 2 things that stand out to me that were amazing moments and great achievements for me but I'll share that in a moment. The reason I say that this year was not good, is due to some family issues that went on which I can't get into but it effected so much. I don't want to put a negative downer on this post but I just want to be real, it's easy to say that overall things were fine but the truth is they weren't.
I guess what comes with another year, comes more lessons and blessings.
I'll get into more of the positive things about this year though. One of the biggest achievements from this year was graduating. I've written quite a bit about my university experience, it wasn't an easy experience at all and at one point.. well, more than one point, I didn't think I'd actually get to the end for so many reasons. For example, I had to retake one of my exams and an assignment so I didn't get to graduate with the rest of my class but I got there in the end. It was such an emotional day but so rewarding, it was good to know that all that hard work paid off.
Another big thing that happened for me this year was getting a full time job! I was so blessed to get this job, it all happened quite quickly and I wasn't expecting to get into full time employment so soon after finishing my degree. I've been working in Recruitment since July and honestly, it's been such a good experience. I work with such great people and feel so fortunate to actually enjoy what I do too lol. I never thought of getting into Recruitment as a career but I'm excited to see where it takes me.
2018?
My friend has inspired me to do something in the New Year. We've set ourselves 12 things to do in the 12 months of 2018, for example going to a rooftop cinema in August or going to a food festival in July. We also made a list on what what we'd like to achieve, 12 personal goals! I think this is such a good way to spread out what you'd want to get done during each month of the year and I advise everyone to make their own little list.
I'm wishing everyone a very positive, prosperous, all round great year!
