Snake print!

So as you would've seen from my last post, over the weekend I had my late birthday celebrations with some of my favourite people. We went for dinner at Brasserie Blanc, a popular French restaurant just outside our local area. Before going I didn't know what I'd wear but I ended up going for something... different!

I finally went to Harry Potter World!

As a late birthday treat, my boyfriend took me to Harry Potter World and for Afternoon Tea! We both had been wanting to go to the Warner Bros studios for a very long time so this was such an exciting weekend to look forward to.

You’re doing okay.

Something we tend to not do a lot of is give ourselves enough credit for the things we've achieved in life. This can be the smallest thing such as making your bed in the morning to achieving an award for something you've worked hard for. Regardless of what it is, I personally have been learning over time to take more notice of my achievements. I'll tell you why it's so important...

What makes me happy..

Not long ago one of my closest friends asked me a simple question... "what makes you happy?". This question got me thinking a lot about the things that make me happy and yes, I went straight into my journal and wrote it all out. I guess this post will be more of an outward journal for you all to get to know me a bit more and also make you think about what makes you happy.

A weekend away..

Over the weekend myself and my work colleagues went away for a spa weekend in Teddington, London. This was a reward for us for reaching our financial targets for the year and I must say, we were all so excited about having this treat!

Caught up in the moment..

You know when you feel like you've finally got your life figured out and then slowly over time you realise that's not the case at all? Well, recently that's what's happened to me. I really wanted to share some really useful advice that I think would help someone out there too.

Nottinghill Carnival 2018 - my experience!

So it was that time of the year again.. Carnival weekend! This was my first time going to carnival as an adult and I just had to share my experience with you guys. I last went to carnival when I was 13/14 (I think) and I can only remember very little parts from it and finally, at 23 years old I got to experience it in a totally different way.

It's been a while..

Once again, I've left such a big gap since my last blog post, this adult life is no joke! Lol. I've really missed blogging, I'm still learning how to keep up with the consistency of blogging as well as everything else I need to stay on top of. The balancing act is too real.

A year after University.. what I've been up to..

I can't believe it's already been a year since I was at university. A year can go so quick and so much can happen within that time. If you've been following my blog for a while you would've seen that I shared my experience whilst at university, from my first year to my third. It only feels right to share what I've been up to a year on from then.

Life at REED!

So this time last week I was in the Cotswolds staying at a stunning Manor House. Reason for this was because I was away on a 3 day course for my apprenticeship through REED Specialist Recruitment.

Vibes

This time last weekend it was a sunny bank holiday weekend here in the UK! The weather so far this year has been an absolute mess, from heaps of snow, floods of rain and now finally the sun has decided to come out and say hey. I love how the sun instantly uplifts people's mood, it's good vibes all round. Although my hayfever has now arrived and heat rash but let me not start complaining lol.

Taking Time Out..

Mental health is something very important to me and to many others too. For those who know me or have read my post on Mental Health Awareness before will know that I suffer from anxiety and went through depression a few years ago. Since the beginning of this year I have been dealing with a lot of personal issues going on in my life and my anxiety has been tested several times.

Current Favourite Music!

Hey guys! So, I haven't done a post like this in a while. I love sharing what music I'm currently into because music is the best thing! It's always exciting discovering new songs. You have the same songs stuck on repeat until the next ones come along. Recently I've been into so many songs and I've been dying to share them with you!

So from my previous post, you'll see that I went to the Make Up Revolution Party. During the event we were given a card that allowed us to get a goody bag when we left and boy was I excited to get a goody bag!

Make Up Revolution Party!

So before I even start, let me just say.. I was not ready for this event at all. One of my fellow blogger friends invited me as a plus one, I honestly didn't know what to expect when going to this but I was really looking forward to it as it was my first time attending a make up event.

Giggling Squid

Yesterday evening I went for a lovely dinner at the Giggling Squid in Marlow. My bestfriend always told me how good the food was here and I'd never had Thai food before so I was so excited to go.

A mother's love..

So it's Mother's Day here in the UK and I wanted to dedicate this post to my mum.

My mum has been my hero for as long as I can remember. It was just a few years ago when I realized just how amazing my mum is, when you're young, you tend to take things for granted and your mother is one of them. The older I get, the more I see just how powerful a mother's love is. This woman has gone through hell and back and she's still standing.. she is the most selfless person I know and when she is suffering, she still puts her children first. I've never know anyone with such a pure, genuine, selfless love and if I become just half of the woman she is, I'll be okay with that.

Growing up I always suffered with confidence, my identity and self love but when I look back at that time, it was always my mother who instilled nothing but words of affirmation to me and always told me that I am beautiful just the way I am. If it wasn't for her continuous encouragement, her strength and unconditional love, I don't know where I'd be today. I know we all say this about our mother's but they deserve the world. They sacrifice so much to give us the life we have today and I salute all single mother's out there who have fought to give their children the best life they can. I respect all mother's in general and I can't wait to show my future children just what a mother's love is like.

A weekend in Manchester..

Over the weekend, me and my boyfriend went up to Manchester to celebrate our 6 year anniversary.. I know right, 6 years! I've been so blessed to have such a wonderful person in my life. We've never really got the chance to go away on holidays or weekends away so it was very exciting for us to finally get to go away together for more than just one night!

Staying positive in difficult times..

One of the hardest things to do in life is to remain positive in difficult situations. When we receive bad news our first reaction is to freak out and assume the worst! It's normal to do this but also such a bad habit. Over time, I've actually become a lot better with this myself and I just want to share a few tips that have helped me!
